[Chapter one]
A blaze of red and blue boy rushed out of 131, Nth parkway, heavy pack bouncing noisily against his back, as the school bell struck its last, condemning bong. The boy stopped and groaned. His name was George, George LaForge. Geordi for short. This was the sixteenth time he'd been late in two months; Mrs. Troi was not going to be pleased.
He trudged unhappily the rest of the way, heaved open the front door, got a pass from the front office and joined his class. A few children snickered as he resentfully handed Mrs. Troi his note during morning announcements, and made his way back to his desk to find it had been take

Stephanie and her friends looked up from their game, hearing the responding yelp from the mayor and his rushed reply, "Coming Ms Busybody, coming right away!"
"I don't know why he does so much for her," Trixie commented, holding the basketball still. Stephanie shrugged.
"He likes her a lot," she explained. "I think adults do anything for the other person when they're in love."
"That sounds like a gross girly book," Stingy made a face.
"Maybe," the pink haired girl said. "But that's how it is. My uncle would do anything for Ms Busybody!"
"Just because he loves her? That's so weird!" Trixie added.
